Today two members of the IMPACT Board, Jill Green and Robbie Copenhaver, met with Vicki Watts at Scottsboro Electric Power Board for an interview regarding the 2012 Low Country Luau. The interview will air next week on Our Town Channel 10.

ESL Class meeting for farewell party for Thierry who will be returning
to France next week.
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered at IMPACT Learning Center on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Jenny Edwards, shown at the back left in the picture above, is the instructor. She is able to assist students from any language background in better understanding English. Students' work consists mainly of listening to, reading, and speaking English. The classes use a combination of group exercises, one-on-one tutoring, and computer activities to get students engaged in their work.
The classes are free and open to anyone needing assistance with their English language skills.

ATTENTION JOB SEEKERS: Broad St Church of Christ Clothing
Room is open to the community on the 1st and 3rd
Wednesday of every month from 9-11am. It is located on Broad St across from the
church office and behind the Christian Youth Center. They usually have an
assortment of items that are appropriate for job interviews. If you know of
anyone in need of their services, please pass this information along.
IMPACT Learning Center is still accepting applications for
their Pre-K Partners program for the 2012-2013 year. A random drawing will be
held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10 to select which applicants will be
accepted into the program. The deadline to have your child’s name entered into
the drawing is Noon on Tuesday, April 10. Nine boys and nine girls will be
selected to fill the eighteen open spots. All applicants must be 4 years old by
September 1, 2012, have a completed application submitted to IMPACT Learning
Center before the deadline, submit a certified copy of child’s birth
certificate, and proof of Alabama residency (a utility bill for example). Applications
can be picked up at IMPACT Learning Center at 305 South Scott Street, Suite 21,
Scottsboro, Alabama or printed online at impactlearningcenter21.blogspot.com. For
